Vital Points (Kyusho)
The Head (Atama)
Jinchu (Center Of The Human) - base of the nose which is the spot directly above the upper lip. Also simply called Jin (Human).
Kasumi (Mist) - the temple. Also called Rangiku (Disordered Chrysanthemums).
The Neck (Kubi)
Amado (Door Of Rain) - the area where the lymph glands are, about two inches below the ear on the side of the neck. Also known as Kubi Doumyaku.
Asagasumi (Morning Mist) - the part of the neck directly under the chin. Also called Asagiri.
Ittou Nittou Santou (One Two Three) - The tracheal notch and the indents of the clavicle on either side.
Yoko Kubusuji - the side of the neck toward the back, about one inch to the left and right of the spine.
The Body (Karada)
Butsumetsu (The Day Buddha Died) - the bottom-most ribs under the chest muscle. The name suggests that the opponent will have trouble standing for seven days.
Hara (Core) - The general region of the stomach. The center of the core from which power builds.
Kimon (Demon Gate) - the chest or more specifically five points above the nipple.
Kinketsu (Money Loss) - the sternum.
Suigetsu (Water Moon) - the solar plexus or more specifically the center middle point between the upper abs below the diaphragm. Also called Shishiran (Confusing Tiger).
Ura Kimon (Inner Demon Gate) - the gap between the 4th and 5th ribs directly under the right pectoral.
Wakitsubo (Side Of The Body) - the side of the ribs under the armpit. Also known as wakidai.
The Arm (Ude)
Hoshi (Stars) - the inner knob of the elbow joint on the inside of the arm.
Hoshi-zawa (Cliff of Stars) - the crook of the elbow.
Kin (Muscle) - the web of the thumb.
Kote (Little Hand) - the wrist.
Nagare (Stream) - the soft underside of the forearm.
The Legs (Ashi)
Kaku (Breaking) - the back, inner, or outer side of the knee.
Kobura - the back of the opponent's leg just above the crook of the knee.
